Man next to a vanAt OLCI, our industry contacts often ask us to find suitable candidates to join them. We then aim to match students to these vacancies using our Job Support Service*. As this is such a popular service, we decided to ask one of our contacts who recently used us to recruit from our students, what they look for in a new member of the team.

Their recruitment process

‘Alexander Plumbing’ is a growing plumbing and drainage business, based in Merton, London. After learning about the type of person they wanted to recruit, we sent them a selection of student CV’s. They firstly short-listed candidates who had clear information on their CV. Suitable applicants then met Greg Alexander on-site for an interview. Greg was looking for someone who was clear, concise, quickly adaptable and keen to get stuck in.
